Hendersonville High School

Hendersonville High School is one of three public high schools located in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Its current principal is Mike Shelton. With a student population of 1440, the school is consistently rated among the top large public high schools in Tennessee. A part of the Sumner County School system, Hendersonville participates in 5A level sports as a part of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association, and maintains continued success in its athletic programs, including track, softball, bowling, football, wrestling, lacrosse, soccer, football, and basketball.

During the fall of 2005. the school's football field was dedicated to retired Principal Paul Decker. The soccer team also recently completed its "Field of Dreams" capital campaign resulting in a brand new soccer field at nearby Drakes Creek Park.

The school launched the "Every Meter Matters!" program to renovate the old, worn down track into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility. The school expects this to be complete by April 2008.
