The Hempfield School District is a school district of 7218 students educated in 10 schools by 420 teachers in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.[1] It is a member of Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit (IU) 13. Hempfield school has many different extra curricular activities such as but not limiting to; Football, Track and Field, Cheerleading,Swimming, Dance and Arts.
The majority of students are white. There are 24 native students, 193 Asian students, and 193 black students, with 410 students of all races considering themselves hispanic or latino.[1]

Attendance at Landisville Primary Center in Landisville, Pennsylvania during the 2005-2006 school year was 96.50%, essentially the same as the 96.89% scored in the prior year. Students were 93.7% proficient in math, 90.50% proficient in reading.[2]
Attendance at Centerville Elementary School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania during the 2005-2006 school year was 96.68%, essentially the same as the 96.43% scored in the prior year. Students were 88.4% proficient in math, 84.6% proficient in reading.[3]
Attendance at East Petersburg Elementary School in East Petersburg, Pennsylvania during the 2005-2006 school year was 96.66%, essentially the same as the 96.67% scored in the prior year. Students were 79.4% proficient in math, 74.0% proficient in reading.[4]
Attendance at Farmdale Elementary School in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania during the 2005-2006 school year was 96.66%, essentially the same as the 96.73% scored in the prior year. Students were 74.8% proficient in math, 82.0% proficient in reading.[5]
Attendance at Mountville Elementary School in Mountville, Pennsylvania during the 2005-2006 school year was 96.62%, essentially the same as the 96.61% scored in the prior year. Students were 77.4% proficient in math, 76.5% proficient in reading.[6]

Of the 117 schools in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Hempfield High School was one of only 13 schools that failed to reach all their Adequate Yearly Progress goals. The Special Education-IEP (Individual Educational Plan) students at HHS only achieved a reading proficiency of 32.8%. Those students had a math proficiency of 36.0% which was adequate to meet their goal.
