Hemiscylliidae is a family of carpet and bamboo sharks in the order Orectolobiformes.

[edit] Taxonomic note
Two new species of epaulette shark, probably of genus Hemiscyllium, were discovered in September 2006 on an expedition led by Conservation International to Bird's Head Peninsula in the Province of West Irian Jaya, Indonesia.
