Hematogen (Гематоген in Russian, sometimes transliterated as Gematogen) is a Russian candy bar, which is notable in that one of its main ingredients is processed cow's blood. It is often considered to be a medicinal product, and is used to treat anemia (as indicated by its name, which is from the Latin for "blood-maker").
