[edit] Helluland

Several translations are possible: helle: flat stone, helleland: more like flat rock ground, helle: tilt .1, heller: something tilted, e.g: It would be meaningful to use "heller" about a protruding rock providing shelter beneath. .2. Looking further into it, the word "helle" or "heller" seems to be intertwined with the word "hellig" meaning "holy". There is an island "Holy island" in the Irish sea named so because "hellige" (holy) monks lived in a cave under a "heller" (rock)..3 St.Trond (talk) 17:50, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Assessment

I have assessed this as a Stub, as it only provides the basic information on the topic, and of low importance, as it is a highly specific topic within Canada. Cheers, CP 05:33, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
