Talk:Heliamphora tatei
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Sentence moved from article
"H. tatei is one of the few Heliamphora species to actually produce digestive enzymes."
- Needs a citation. The latest information I have from 1992 says that H. tatei was capable of hydrolytic activity, but under laboratory conditions the researchers couldn't detect proteolytic activity. And they're not sure if the activity comes from the plant producing the enzymes itself or from surface bacteria. --Rkitko (talk) 22:28, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
