1. There is no free visual portrayal of Lemony Snicket in existence. Any created version would not fulfill the encyclopedic use of this image, as it would not further anyone's understanding of the author in question.
2. The use of this image does not decrease the opportunity for sale of the book from which it comes (The End) since 1) the book is not about Snicket, and 2) the image does not reveal any consequential knowledge as to the book's contents.
3. The use of this image contributes significantly to the article, since it deals directly with Lemony Snicket.
4. Lemony Snicket is the author of numerous books and deserves visual representation of Wikipedia.
