"Hello Operator" is a single by The White Stripes, from their album De Stijl. It was released in May of 2000 (see 2000 in music). John Peel listed it as his single of the week even though it was not released in the UK. The single also includes the White Stripes' off-kilter cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene."
