Heliconia rostrata |
Heliconia rostrata provides nectar to birds as it is in the upside down position, while other Heliconias grow in the upright position with a cup shape (Heliconia caribaea), storing water for birds and insects.
Heliconias are know to those who grow them as a host flower to many birds and especially the Hummingbird.
