The Company was formed in 1919 as The Helical Bar and Engineering Co. Ltd in order to produce and sell steel. In 1986 the Company sold its steel business and started to focus on property development. In 2008 a consortium of Helical Bar and Grainger was named as the preferred developer for the King Street regeneration scheme in Hammersmith.[1]
