Helen Boosalis

Helen Boosalis (born August 28, 1919) was a Nebraska Democratic Party politician. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the first female mayor of Lincoln, Nebraska, and in 1986, ran for governor of Nebraska against Kay A. Orr in the first U.S. gubernatorial election in which both major party candidates were women.
