Vanispam...

Haha, no I can't take credit for it, it's been around for ages. It's even got its own page WP:VSCA! It's a very handy term, though, and that article summed it up. EliminatorJR Talk 21:06, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism Report

Looks like 142.33.230.174 is still vandalizing pages left and right. You seem to be the one that's been getting on his case about this, so I'm just letting you know. EricTJ 13:12, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Don't Try This At Home (Spock's Beard video)

I'm not sure why you tagged Don't Try This At Home (Spock's Beard video) as {{db-spam}}. From the looks of it, it looks like a legitimate video made by the band Spock's Beard. The article is kind of a stub and not an example of great prose, but in my mind, it hardly counts as an effort to sell product. If you disagree, let me know, but for now I removed the speedy deletion tag. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 16:35, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

It just seemed like an advertising blurb ... similar to what you might find on the back of a DVD case at the store. I guess that is typical of a stub for videos and CDs. That makes sense. Thanks. HeirloomGardener 16:49, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

MC Apollo

I'm having a bit of a time believing that these aren't vanity creates. I'm also suspicious that he has created ther same article under 3 different titles. Wildthing61476 19:49, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Even as a "longtime fan and friend", there is a potential COI there. He also needs to learn how to use redirects instead of duplicate articles! Reading through the article, though, there does seem to be some assertion of notability. Not sure. HeirloomGardener 19:55, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
No problem, if it's easier to respond here, by all means do so. I do see some claims of notability, but I can't find any reliable sources to back it up. Wildthing61476 19:58, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
That's why I tagged the one article. Since there are claims, I'm not going to CSD it. Should it go to AFD, or just leave it for now (after dealing with the duplicates)? HeirloomGardener 20:03, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
I'd send it to AfD at this point, all the Google hits that I see are self-promotional or links to a directory with his name on them. I can't find anything to verify the claims on the page. Wildthing61476 20:05, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Seems reasonable. I'll go ahead and do that. HeirloomGardener 20:09, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
