Heinz Ebeling (2 January 1918 – 30 November 1987); was a Luftwaffe Staffelkapitän and flying ace during World War II.
On 5 November 1940 Oberleutnant Ebeling collided with his wingman while on a Jabo mission to London. On this day he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross for 18 aerial victories, numerous ground attack missions, and the rapid and conversion of 9th Staffel to the fighter bomber role. He and his wingman were captured near Dungeness.[1]
