Heinrich Pröhle

Prof. Dr. Heinrich Pröhle (4 June 1822 in Satuelle, Ohrekreis, Germany; † 28 May 1895 in Berlin-Steglitz, Germany) was a superior teacher (Oberlehrer) and a writer, a successor to the Brothers Grimm.
Christoph Ferdinand Heinrich Pröhle is the son of the Lutheran pastor and hobby writer Heinrich Andreas Pröhle. The son became well-known as a collector and publisher of German folk-tales and folk-sayings. He is also a historian of literature. He became a professor in 1890.
There is a street called Pröhleweg in Berlin-Spandau (very close to Potsdam), since 1. July 1964.
