Heiko Westermann (born August 14, 1983) is a German footballer who plays as defender for Schalke 04.
The defender played his first match for the German national team in February 2008 against Austria. Germany won that match 3-0. Westermann is known for his good allround abilities and his goalscoring, which is unnaturally high for a defender.
Heiko Westermann was included in the 23 people list of Germany National Football Team by Germany Boss Joachim Löw for EURO 2008.
