Heidi Burge

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heidi Burge (born November 11, 1971 in Fairfax, California) is a retired professional basketball player. She is the twin sister of Heather Burge. Both graduated from Palos Verdes High School and played college basketball at the University of Virginia and then played professionally in European leagues and in the Women's National Basketball Association. At 6 feet 5 inches each, they were the world's tallest female twins before their record was broken by Ann and Claire Recht. A Disney television movie, Double Teamed, is based on their life stories and achievements in basketball.

Heidi Burge did NOT originally like the idea of playing basketball, and was into theatre. Eventually, she fell in love with the game, like her sister Heather immediately did.

In the WNBA, Heidi Burge played for the Los Angeles Sparks. She had to retire from playing basketball due to injuries.
