[edit] Hedemarken or Hedmarken

It is my impression that these are just accepted variations in spelling and I partially reverted the last anonomous edit. However, as always, I can be educated. Williamborg 17:13, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

It is a little inconsistent - Hedmarken is often used in proper names of companies, e.g., "Hedmarken symfoniorkester," [1] but "Hedemarken" is much more common when simply referring to the region [2]. This is about the region of Hedemarken, though - the county is always spelled Hedmark. My vote would be to keep it with Hedemarken. --Leifern 17:27, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Unless strong opposition develops, let's do so. I'll revise the original page accordingly. Williamborg

[edit] Hedemarken or Hedmarken round 2

Appears to be a valid source provided. If you (Leifern and others) agree, we would appear to need to rename (not move) the page Hedmarken (rename: keep the page but give it another name; the page history is now attached to the new name; a new page with the old name is created which redirects to the new name and whose page history records the renaming. from Help:Moving a page).

Nicely relocated. Williamborg 23:48, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
