Hedniskhjärtad is the first released recording by Swedish progressive/folk metal/black metal band Vintersorg. It was released on July 6, 1998.
According to Vintersorg, the songs presented were written back in 1994 during the first incarnation of Vargatron. Their initial plan was to create a style of music rooted in black metal but using mostly clean vocals, with only a few parts utilizing grim, screaming vocals. The original line-up fell apart sometime in 1996, but Vintersorg felt so strongly about the songs he wrote back then that he decided to re-vamp the idea and musical direction, this time called simply "Vintersorg", and recorded the tracks himself.
