Platinum Edition (2006)
|
Hedley is the self-titled debut album of the rock band Hedley. The album was predicted to be a complete flop, but it did the exact opposite by becoming a huge success. It is now 2x Platinum and it also garnered a Juno nomination for "Rock Album of the Year" and also had Hedley nominated for "New Band of the Year". Released in Canada on September 6, 2005. The six singles released from the album were "On My Own", "Villain", "Trip", "321", "Gunnin'", and "Street Fight". "Johnny Falls" was also released, as a digital single on iTunes. The videos for "On My Own", "Trip", "321", and "Gunnin'" have all reached #1 on the MuchMusic countdown. The album has been certified double platinum in Canada [1].
The album was released in the US on September 26, 2006. Despite their Canadian success, they have not been able to translate that into sales south of the border where their album and singles have failed to chart on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100, respectively.
