Hechuan (simplified Chinese: 合川; traditional Chinese: 合川; pinyin: Héchuān Qū) is district in the northern part of Chongqing, China, located at the meeting point of the Jialing, Fu and Qu rivers, with a history of 1500 years. Hechuan is 54 km away from Chongqing city's central Yuzhong District.

Hechuan District administers 27 townships and 3 subdistricts, with a total area of 2356.21 square kilometers.

Hechuan boasts a history of 2300 years.
- In 316 BC, a Dianjiang county was established here.
- In Warring States Period, it was one of the capitals of the state of Ba.
- In 556, Dianjiang county was renamed Hezhou.
- In 1913, Hezhou was renamed Hechuan.
- In 1983, Hechuan county was put under the administration of Chongqing city.
- In 1992, Hechuan county was promoted to city level and called Hechuan city.
- In 2006, Hechuan city was changed into a district (a county-level division) of Chongjing.

Hechuan is located at 105.58'37"E-106.40'37"E of longitude and 29.51'02"N-30.22'24"N of latitude. It borders on the Yubei district of Chongqing and Huayun city of Sichuan in the east, Beibei district and Bishang county of Chongqing in the south, Tongliang county of Chongqing in the west, and Wusheng county of Sichuan in the north.

Its climate is subtropical monsoonal, with an annual average temperature of 18.1℃, a monthly average temperature of 7.2℃ in January, 28.3℃ in July, an annual total rainfall of 1131.3mm, and frost-free period of 330 days.

Crossed by Xianyang-Chongqing railroad, Suining-Chongqing railroad and Nanchong-Chongqing highway, Hechuan occupies a key location in the transportation and economic corridor to northern Sichuan, Shanxi and Gansu.

- Hechuan is the important pig-raising, silk and citrus producing area in China,.
- Tianfu Mining Company has its seat in Hechuan.
- In 2006,the total annual GDP was CNY14.216 billion and the annual average income per capita is CNY11,532 in Hechuan.
