Facts
please provide sources for "a member of the 100 most outstanding academic institutions" and "top ranked" universities. Okinawasan 10:59, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'm new to wikipedia so I'm not sure if these links are sufficient, but I hope this helps. For Hebrew University's 2006 rankings from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Institute of Higher Education: http://ed.sjtu.edu.cn/rank/2006/ARWU2006_Top100.htm (links to the rankings are also available from the University's homepage: http://ed.sjtu.edu.cn/en/index.htm). For webometrics' rankings (places Hebrew University at 30 in Europe): http://www.webometrics.info/top100_continent.asp?cont=europe AvielD 20:43, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

- Thank you for the link to Newsweek, i have added the proper citation. Did you also find some information about the "Top Ranking" from Israel's Council for Higher Education? Okinawasan 21:00, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- If the dispute about the ranking is resolved, some of you remove the tag. --Pejman47 20:34, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- The dispute about the "top ranking" is not resolved, no sources have been identified. Please do not delete the tag, provide the proper sources or delete the statement. Thank you. Okinawasan 07:30, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- In future, when a single statement is disputed, please use one of the inline templates so it doesn't look like the entire article is being disputed. nadav (talk) 07:48, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Land of Israel" to Palestine
I changed the opening sentence under "History" from "One of the Zionist movement's dreams was to establish a Hebrew university in The Land of Israel." to "One of the Zionist movement's dreams was to establish a Hebrew university in Palestine." I did this to make it factually and historically accurate, since this idea was first conceptualized prior to the creation of Israel. This also makes it easier for one to follow the linear history of it's establishment in comparison to the time-period. It also helps avoid any confusion from Zionist ideaology and non-partisan history.

[edit] Four campuses
I have never heard of the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry at Hadassah being referred to as a separate campus. Is there any source for this? Does a building in a hospital complex classify as a campus? In all the literature I have seen, HUJI speaks of two campuses in Jerusalem and one in Rehovot.--Gilabrand 10:39, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Hujilogo.gif
Image:Hujilogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
