[edit] How Orthodox

Isn't this Yeshiva more Neo Orthodox than Modern Orthodox? Fintor 11:11, 5 September 2005 (UTC)

  • Actually it's a completely Orthodox Judaism yeshiva, not "neo" anything. IZAK 07:03, 11 October 2005 (UTC)
    • Out here in Africa I couldn't tell :-) Do you think that the article needs a bit of a re-write in that case? Fintor 15:38, 11 October 2005 (UTC)
  • As a former student of their high school, it is more to the right of "modern" orthodoxy, probably like what's described on the Neo-Orthodoxy page. But that's a bad term, cause it sounds like more modern, not less. I suggest we call it "strictly-orthodox".Mkop 05:41, 16 October 2005 (UTC)
  • regardless of how much the term sounds like what it is, that is the entry in wikipedia. I think it should be used to describe this institution. Rabbi-m 14:48, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mission Statement

The paraphrase of the mission statement on this page is not very well done. (imo) It gives an impression of being aimed at creating rabbanim who are also secularly knowledgeable, while if you look at the actual mission statement, it says clearly about lay leadership as well.

Maybe we could actually put an excerpt from the mission statement here, rather than paraphrasing. (Is that legal? Or is the mission statement copyrighted? I put the logo here - I assume that's OK?)
