Heber Gerald Smith

Heber Gerald Smith (died August 2007)[1] was a Mormon fundamentalist leader. He was the president of the United Latter-day Church of Jesus Christ from 1995 until his death.

The following is quoted from Steven H. Tucker:
"After his death, Heber Gerald Smith (one of his sons), began to govern the church. He moved the remainder of the followers from Nebraska to Davis County, Utah where they now reside. In 2005, he began to receive revelations from the Lord and are now pointed out as Doctrine and Covenants 139-144 where it continues to grow. He re-created the Council of Friends and renamed it the Council of New Friends ordaining 3 members to it. [...] They were Scott William Kingston, Steven Hatting Tucker, and John Cooper Smith. Scott Kingston was formerly a the "Senior Member" of the Council before his passing away May 13, 2007 due to a heart attack. [...] It was during Heber's leadership that the name "United Latter-day Church of Jesus Christ" came to be used also known as the ULDC for short."[2]
