Identity of the photographer of the cover photograph is not yet accessible. If/when known, it may be added. The cover photograph is listed on the back page of the book as "Copyright © REX features".
That book cover photograph (as cropped on the book cover featuring it) appears to be derived from the following cropped photograph posted on rexfeatures.com, which would appear to derive from a still of the film Brokeback Mountain: namely, http://www.rexfeatures.com/images/thumb/550196v.jpg. Given that provenance, it would appear that the book cover photograph is actually from the film photography or promotional film stills and that its copyright is owned by the film production company at least in part if not in whole. That photograph (or its original version) has been widely circulated as promotional material for the film on the internet and audio-visual news and entertainment media. The cinematographer for the film is Rodrigo Prieto. Production stills such as this book cover appear to come from the film itself.
