Heart of the Storm (film)

Heart of the Storm is a 2004 T.V. film starring Melissa Gilbert and Thomas Cavanagh. It is about a prison break during a hurricane. Three convicts named Tad, Juke, and the leader Simpson, seek refuge in a small family's house and hold them captive. Soon the family begins to get along with them until Tad and Simpson get into a fight, where Simpson shoots Tad dead. When the family father comes home he is also shot. When Juke tries to help the family escape Simpson's treachery, he too is wounded by gunshot. They manage to kill Simpson by igniting hairspray with fire, disfiguring Simpson's face, which makes him stagger backwards and flip over to his death on the stair balcony. This film was negatively received by critics and was given very little attention, unfortunately.
