Hearne family

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The world of cricket has been blessed by the influence of several families, none more so than the Hearne family. The Hearnes are arguably the greatest, unarguably the most numerous, of all cricketing families. Twelve of them played First-class cricket, including five for Kent and five for Middlesex.

In addition to this the grandson of H.Hearne, E.W.Sturgess and the son-in-law of G.F.Hearne, F.A.Burton also played first class cricket. F.A.Burton was the son of G.Burton, another first class cricketer.
