The Healthy Living Directory is a human edited web directory, specializing in listing and categorizing alternative medicine practitioners and businesses in Charlottesville, VA and surrounding areas. Begun in 1998 as a community-minded project by Birch Studio Graphics, businesses and individuals can advertise on the online web directory for a fee. There is also a print version of the Healthy Living Directory which is distributed in Charlottesville, VA and the surrounding areas, and may be picked up for free in many shops and businesses. The online directory features advertisements for holistic medicine businesses and practitioners in Charlottesville, VA and the surrounding area, a glossary of alternative medicine terms, definitions of the different listing categories and a list of applicable books which provide information on holistic and alternative medicine.
