"Headstrong" is the first single from band Trapt on their debut self-titled album. It reached #1 on alternative charts and #16 on the pop charts. It won two Billboard Music Awards in 2003 for "Best Modern Rock Track" and "Best Rock Track".
This song was featured in the motocross video game MX Unleashed, the pro wrestling video game Legends of Wrestling II, NHL 2003 and Donkey Konga 2. The song receives regular airplay during warm-ups at RFK Stadium before D.C. United games. This song is also in the movies Grind and Never Back Down. This song was also Seth Skyfire and Shelly Martinez entrance music while in Ohio Valley Wrestling. It was also the theme song for WWE Bad Blood 2003. It is the current television introduction theme for TKO Major League MMA, a Canadian Mixed Martial Arts organization.
It is mistakenly believed that Linkin Park covered the song, but this is likely due to misattribution of a live performance by Trapt.
