[edit] Music biography

Head-Roc started out as a solo act in 1993. In 1994 he became a founding member of the D.C. Area Hip Hop group Infinite Loop.[2] He later joined the group Three Levels of Genius with whom he opened for notable acts like Run-DMC and A Tribe Called Quest.[3]

In 2004 Head-Roc produced his critically acclaimed debut solo album The Return of Black Broadway following it up a year later with another critically acclaimed album Negrophobia! for which he toured the East Coast of the U.S.

In recent years Head-Roc has employed his good friend Jarobi formerly of A Tribe Called Quest to manage tours of the West Coast in the U.S. and Europe.[4] He has also fathered a child, Jahmilia, with co-contributor, Miss Speak, who he calls his Top Advisor[4]

[edit] Political views

Head-Roc's political views are made very clear in his lyrics. His choice to operate without record companies has allowed him to express many unadulterated views in his music. Singles like Speak to Us and Enough! express strong views on racism. Songs like T.H.O.D.(The Hypocrisy of Democracy) and Chris Columbus talk about the white-washing of history in America and express his views on how history text books misrepresent history. He has also expressed views on the need for the liberation of the Palestinian people, the evils of imperialism and corporate globalization, and the importance of music in growing political movements[5].

Head-Roc advocates for the D.C. Statehood Green Party.
