"He War" is a song by the American singer/ songwriter, Cat Power (the name under which Chan Marshall performs). It is the seventh song on her 2003 album, You Are Free. It was released as a single, and a music video directed by Brett Vapnek was made for the song. Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl provided the drumming for this track. Chan has stated that she hates the recording of He War that ended up on You Are Free. [1]
