[edit] Vista Article
Excuse me, I thought this was a publicly editable encyclopedia. If you are going to decide what you want to filter and what you don't, I guess I was wrong! Please don't lecture me on ethics in a public forum again!
You commented to me that all entries must be from a neutral point of view... but, doesn't that mean that all articles shouldn't even have a criticism section? I mean, if people can just trash the subject of an article and call it 'criticism' or 'controversy,' it seems that sidenotes that counteract these entries only furthers the idea of neutrality in wikipedia.

[edit] Darktaz
I feel that darktaz's reason for wanting to be unblocked is a very good reason, as you may know uncyclopaedia is a website running wiki that makes fun of everything so there vandalism is essentially encouraged, and both wikipedia and uncyclopaedia both are running wiki they do look essentially identical so I request that you would reconsider your reply to darktaz and don't be so rude, you moderate wikipedia so you should at least have some manners when communicating if you don't improve I will suggest that you are no longer a moderator. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.20.21.102 (talk) 19:34, 12 March 2007 (UTC).

- Hi, I am not a moderator or administrator so I cannot block or unblock anybody; the only thing I did was post a warning to stop vandalizing. If you have questions please ask the admin who blocked Darktaz or the one who reviewed the unblock. I agree that Uncyclopedia and Wikipedia can sometimes be confused for the same thing and if an admin was tired of having to deal with repeated vandalism he/she may just tell them to back off.

Thanks for your warm welcome! I'm putting the following message on pages relating to Guildford Grammar School:

Don't you think if you or someone else felt it worthwhile to block me you should know what it was. My first account was in February 2003, and I edited just with my variable IP address at work. Does that help?NoOffenseBut 14:30, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- I wouldn't know because I'm relatively new here and I'm not a moderator. Instead of accusing people of deliberately blocking you and avoiding them by creating a new account, you should just take a break from Wiki for a while and then come back and contribute constructively. Nobody will do anything then to stop you. (Unless you start making trouble again) -- Hdt83 | Talk
[edit] Article Deer
Depending on their species, male deer are called stags, harts, bucks or bulls, and females are called hinds, does or cows. Young deer are called fawns or calfs. Hart is an expression for a stag, particularly a Red Deer stag past its fifth year. It is not commonly used, but an example is in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet when Tybalt refers to the brawling Montagues and Capulets as hartless hinds. "The White Hart" and "The Red Hart" are common English pub names.
That was my mistake. I was using Mike's Wiki Tool 0.9 and I saw common English pub names. I was going through pretty quick, and I found it odd that deer and English pubs would have anything to do with each other, so that is why I undid it. That was my mistake. Sorry, --Wikihermit 20:02, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Turok and friends
Hi. Do you know why we have two lists of Turok socks -- one of Turok 1, and one of Turok 19? It might be easier to manage one, huge, growing list. ( I left a similar query on User talk:HalfShadow). Flyguy649talkcontribs 04:49, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- No, I don't really know. I think it is because Turok created so many socks that it became hard to track all of them so we ended up with a huge list of socks. Hopefully he stops. What I don't understand is where or how he creates so many sock accounts. Usually whenever someone is blocked the IP address they are using is auto-blocked but it is clearly not happening in this case. - Hdt83 | Talk 04:53, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Nicely put! I mean it. At times its nice to put that and say "no really, your vandalism is POINTLESS, we can and will revert it. Your fighting a loosing battle. Grow up, read the articles, be constructive if you wish, otherwise leave it alone." Course some editors snap at you for saying anything at all construed as cross to a vandal, basically we coddle them hoping later they turn good. Some you can't see doing this after having to scroll down a page and half of warnings and blockings you shouldn't even have to keep dealing with. Anyway - nicely put.--Xiahou 01:25, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bug 9213
Yes, that is right. No, I don't know what is causing it, and I can't look into the problem any more then you can, since I am not a developer. I suspect it has to do with the message bar being cached, and then not loaded on each page, but I am not sure. If that were true, following a link like this would cause the bar to be displayed if an anon has new messages. Rob Church, who is a developer, has made a change to the bug, why don't you contact him, he can probably be far more helpful then I can. Prodego talk 03:15, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A note about templates
Hi there, and thanks for this edit you made to the Wiki Defcon. Whenever something is put into a template, it will be transcluded along with it to every page the template is located on. The little lock semi-protection icon was being transcluded onto the user page of every editor who had put the Defcon on their user page. Additionally, all those user pages were put into the Semi-protected category. To keep this from happening, place anything that should not be transcluded along with the template inside <noinclude> tags. I have done this to the Defcon to remedy the situation. Cheers! --Nick—Contact/Contribs 06:34, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

I would like to know that how can one put colored fonts etc. on his or her userpage ? And can one put his/her picture on the same...? Thanks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jon Ascton (talk • contribs) 16:27, 7 April 2007 (UTC).
[edit] font , lilkunta
- Comment: I recently found this post at the noticeboard and this is why fonts are annoying to some users. I like different fonts like these but if people request you to not use this font then at least use something else that won't annoy people. -- Hdt83 Chat 20:59, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Thx for ur nice message. Do you have another font I could use? I am not stuck on Chiller, but Times is sooo boring. But I do want my words in green. I dont know how to change into just green. Lilkunta 21:05, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Response: Well, u should use a diffrent font that won't annoy others. If you have a word processor (ms word, etc.) you can copy the fonts there over to Wikipedia. As for just having the words green you can use <font face = "Times New Roman" size = "2" color = "green">. Oh and I don't usually post in diffrent colors or fonts because they can really get people mad and some admins might even block you for it. -- Hdt83 Chat 21:18, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Im using your font now (Thx!) and usiing blue since u wrote in green. Do u have a problem with the way I post on ur disc page? Pls let me know.I wont use it here if u dont like it. I feel it is very unfair that metros is warning me about ur disc page ( see below ). If u dont have a problem with it, Metros should stay out of it. Wouldnt u let me know u had a problem instead of Metros jumping in? Lilkunta 22:18, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] pls tell metros to stop
R u an admin? Pls tell Metros to leave me alone. I feel S/he is stalking me. I posted on ur disc page but Metros is warning me 4 it. Metros was directed to take a wiki break but ignored the request. I just want to be left alone. Pls tell Metros to leave me alone! Lilkunta 22:18, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
No, I don't have any problems with the fonts as long as they are legible. I suggest that you try to not provoke Metros bcuz he will block you if he really wants to. As long as you don't use the Chiller font or colors too much you should be ok. This event will clear itself in a couple of days provided you don't use fonts that they don't like. Hopefully what happened here doesn't discourage you from editing here. -- Hdt83 Chat 22:33, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm not trying to provoke Metros. If u look u'll c I repeatedly asked him ( I'm saying him bc u said he, I dont know what he is ) to stop posting 2 me . I think he is watching my page bc anytime I do anything he comments. He even repeatedly edited my disc page even after I asked him not to, then Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Lilkunta reported me bc I refused help that I never asked him 4! How is it fair for Metros 2 block me bc of a post 2 ur or some 1 else's disc page? If metros blocks me it is unfair. Lilkunta 22:57, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism
Hi -
We are trying to figure out who used the computer to vandalize the page - can you tell me when the vandalism was done?

[edit] Thank you
Thank you for reverting the vandalism done to my user page. I was busy looking for my SMA4 game guide (to double-check some information for the project I've set up in my sandbox) at the time it happened, and I just found it. --LuigiManiac 01:00, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Wait- did that souron kid delete the whole article? Sauronthegreat? --LtWinters 00:59, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Yea I warned him after you, I saw that after I left that message. Thanks. Oh and if you look at his other message, he did the same to the page of Final Solution, you should really see this, after reading it I feel we should request he be blocked if he does anything else, because he did both on the same day --LtWinters 02:04, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
