HD 82668 (N Vel / N Velorum) is a star on the border between the constellations Carina and Vela. The star also has the traditional name Marut, which is a Sanskrit name for one of the Hindu gods of the wind.
HD 82668 is an orange K-type giant with an apparent magnitude of +3.16. It is approximately 238 light years from Earth.
The star should not be confused with n Velorum.
