HD 15115 is a yellow-white star.

The asymmetric disk encircling the star was discovered using the Hubble Space Telescope and further investigated by the W.M. Keck Observatory.

The reason for the asymmetry is thought to be the gravitational pull of either a companion star or else an exoplanet.
