The following Kansas City area hospitals are affiliated with the HCA Midwest Division:
- Centerpoint Medical Center - Independence, Missouri - replaces Medical Center of Independence and is the renamed successor/replacement to Independence Regional Health Center in a new location
- Lee's Summit Medical Center - Lee's Summit, Missouri
- Lee's Summit Medical Center - Summit Ridge - Lee's Summit, Missouri
- Lafayette Regional Health Center - Lexington, Missouri
- Research Medical Center - Kansas City, Missouri
- Research Belton Hospital - Belton, Missouri
- Research Medical Center-Brookside Campus - Kansas City, Missouri - replaces Baptist-Lutheran Medical Center at the same location
- Research Psychiatric Center - Kansas City, Missouri
- Menorah Medical Center - Overland Park, Kansas
- Overland Park Regional Medical Center - Overland Park, Kansas
- Allen County Hospital - Iola, Kansas
The parent corporation, HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) is based in Nashville, Tennessee. HCA, a for-profit hospital corporation, purchased these hospitals in 2003 from Health Midwest, Inc., a non-profit hospital corporation. HCA's focus nationwide has been to realign their facilities to better serve primary markets and avoid duplication of services. Baptist-Lutheran Medical Center, one of the HCA Midwest Hospitals, closed in April of 2006. Centerpoint Medical Center opened in May 2007. Lee's Summit Medical Center, opened in a new Lee's Summit location in August 2007.
