[edit] History
HC Davos was founded in 1921 and was quite successful, dominating the Eastern Swiss championship for over three decades from 1926 to 1960. The team was, however, relegated into League 1 in 1990, one of the lowest points in its history. After a new beginning the club moved into the Nationalliga B, and two years later returned to the top flight, Nationalliga A. Since then Davos have been among the best teams in the league, with recent league successes in 2002, 2005 and 2007.
In 1923 Davos presented the first Spengler Cup. As the local team, Davos plays in this tournament as well, although they are usually strengthened by players from Class A clubs.
