[edit] Names for whitelist

  • "Nordyke" Y - non-unusual surname, matched "dyke". SamBC(talk) 19:08, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
  • "Carfagno" Y - another surname, matched "fag". SamBC(talk) 21:59, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Done, thanks. ((1 == 2) ? (('Stop') : ('Go')) 06:12, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Faghri Y - another surname, matched "fag" SamBC(talk) 11:50, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
Done, thanks. ((1 == 2) ? (('Stop') : ('Go')) 15:24, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Shitiz Y - another name, but I can see that it might not want to be whitelisted due to phonetic similarity to a possibly common profane turn of phrase. SamBC(talk) 16:21, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Someone added it. I think it should be whitelisted, better to let the bot miss names than get false positives. ((1 == 2) ? (('Stop') : ('Go')) 04:20, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Scunthorpe Y - place name in the UK. Surprised it wasn't there already, tbh. SamBC(talk) 10:28, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Ah yes... I remember reading about that. I'll do it right now. Grandmasterka 21:15, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Shitemi Y - oriental name (japanese I think). SamBC(talk) 09:58, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
  • prone Y - normal word, but matches porn as "pron". SamBC(talk) 01:23, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Good ones thanks. ((1 == 2) ? (('Stop') : ('Go')) 01:56, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Diwanker Y - name, looks like subcontintental, to judge by google results. SamBC(talk) 14:35, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Good, we need all the names we can find. ((1 == 2) ? (('Stop') : ('Go')) 14:41, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Shitaki Y (or other spellings thereof?) - a type of mushroom. SamBC(talk) 01:42, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
I removed the last letter to get both spellings. ((1 == 2) ? (('Stop') : ('Go')) 04:56, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Anshita Y - subcontinental name SamBC(talk) 02:31, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Added. ((1 == 2) ? (('Stop') : ('Go')) 04:56, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Prasatporn Y - name. SamBC(talk) 17:15, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Ding. ((1 == 2) ? (('Stop') : ('Go')) 04:28, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Phosphate N - normal word, matches "hate". SamBC(talk) 22:59, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Hate is not on the blacklist, so whitelisting it would have no effect. 1 != 2 07:49, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, that's what the report on the bot bit of UAA said was the problem... or I might have been half-asleep... I'll investigate. SamBC(talk) 19:03, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, here we are: [1] shows the report. SamBC(talk) 19:14, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Whatever - also matches "hate", which is in fact on the blacklist (see "Phosphate" section above) Is he back? (talk) 13:16, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, not sure how I missed that, I thought it was not there in the blacklist, but it was. I removed it as there is a list longer than my arm with the four letters h,a,t,e next to each other. Please discuss if you disagree. (1 == 2)Until 14:50, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Grapes - matches "rapes". SamBC(talk) 20:43, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Nazih - many people worldwide have this as a given name. rspeer / ɹəədsɹ 17:06, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Removal of redundant entry

"sparse" seems redundant, since "parse" should catch it. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 09:52, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
