[edit] GR Template

Are you asking as a reply to my bot request, or something different? My answer depends on why you're asking. Nyttend (talk) 19:51, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Look at the code for the Huron County article's Demographics section; you'll see "As of the census2 of 2000," at the top. Before I made the change, it read, "As of the census² of 2000,". GR is a template that contains links to several different geographic reference sites, depending on what number you place: 2 goes to a Census Bureau facts site, while 6 goes to a page with references for county seats nationwide. These are the two templates that I placed; there are also GR1, GR3, GR4, and GR5, but in my experience they're not as commonly used. The previous format, with the link to "Geographic references", isn't as good because it's a self-reference, not a standard-style reference that displays in a references section.
