I am a member of the Firearms WikiProject, a project devoted to the improvement of firearms and ammunition coverage on Wikipedia. I understand that a personal firearm is, at the same time, a Weapon, Tool, Machine, and a Work of Art.

Hello, my name is Hayden and I was born and live in Australia. I registered at Wikipedia in 2005. I have edited thousands of articles (only about half of those being unique however), and I also edited many while being unregistered, but thought it was time to sign up instead of being anonymous. My main interest is in warfare, particularly firearms, and these are the main articles I edit on Wikipedia (see below).
I have had opportunities that many Australians wouldn't normally get to do within Australia, like hold and see a selection of military style weapons from Heckler & Koch, and also famous weapons such as the M4 Carbine. In an early 2007 trip to Canada, I was able to fire semi-automatic weapons which would be illegal in Australia. I also enjoy shooting .22LR bolt-action rifles at my local range; anything larger is a two hour trip. Shooting handguns is great too, but .38 inches is the maximum calibre we can have according to the law. The government obviously doesn't understand that a .357 Magnum is a lot more powerful than a .45 ACP. And since when did a more powerful cartridge make a handgun more dangerous? At least the restriction doesn't rule out 9x19mm.
[edit] Things I do at Wikipedia
The main things I do at Wikipedia are edit, cleanup or add new information to the following articles:
[edit] Firearms
These are the articles I edit most on Wikipedia. My most noteworthy edits are:
[edit] Occasionally video games
The laws are quite tight in Australia so it is my alternative to real firearms. Obviously I have quicker, easier access to a games console than I do to a shooting range.
[edit] Aircraft
Incorporate pictures and little pieces of information.
[edit] Submarines
Rarely, but have in the past.
Occasionally just a few minor edits while I’m having a browse.
[edit] Plus a variety of completely random articles
Minor edits to articles that I would only visit when I'm bored or trying to confirm a fact.
[edit] My contributions
For a detailed, complete list, see here. (Note: I have, in the past, made contributions when I haven't bothered or forgot to sign in.)
Click here to see my number of contributions, but note that this system is not 100% accurate and some edits are missing.
Here is my gallery of image uploads — my old account's gallery of uploads. (There are also images that I have uploaded straight to Wikipedia and are not in the Commons)
[edit] Miscellanea
I was previously known as X360, but this account has now been re-registered by a vandal, thus it no longer redirects to here.
