Hayo Reinders [1] [2] is an applied linguist working in the areas of learner autonomy [3]and computer-assisted language learning [4]. He is the designer of an Electronic Learning Environment [5] for the English Language Self-Access Centre at the University of Auckland [6]that supports students in their self-directed learning. He is the author of several books [7] and articles [8] on language learning and teaching, and applied linguistics [9].
