Hayes Glacier
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hayes Glacier enters the south east part of Weddell Sea about 27 km (17 mi) west south west of Dawson-Lambton Glacier. The glacier was discovered in the course of a U.S. Navy LC-130 plane flight over Caird Coast, November 5, 1967, and was plotted by United States Geological Survey from photographs obtained at that time. Named by US-ACAN for Lt. Cdr. Winston R. Hayes, USNR, pilot on that flight.
