The Hayago Meijin was a Go competition.

The Hayago Meijin was decided in a best-of-three match. Each player had 4 hours to think. The challenger was decided in a knockout of 32 players. The thinking time in the knockout was 3 hours. The tournament became the Judan in 1962.
