[edit] U.S. state templates

Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. states/state templates lists and displays all 50 U.S. state (and additional other) templates. It potentially can be used for ideas and standardization. //MrD9 07:15, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Standardization of state templates

There is currently an ongoing discussion regarding standardization of state templates (primarily regarding layout and styling) at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject U.S. states/state templates. An effort was made earlier this year to standardize Canadian province templates (which mostly succeeded). Lovelac7 and I have already begun standardizing all state templates. If you have any concerns, they should be directed toward the discussion page for state template standardization. Thanks! — Webdinger BLAH | SZ 22:41, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kaula

Just wondering why Kaʻula wasn't on the the template. If small islands like Kahoolawe and the Gardner Pinnacles are present, why shouldn't Kaula be? -- VegitaU 23:45, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Midway Atoll

Since Midway Atoll is not part of the State of Hawaii and is actually a separate jurisdiction, it should not be included in this US state template. I don't think this is splitting hairs: the State of Hawaii is a political entity, in contrast to the geographic distinction of Hawaiian Island. Thus, as Midway Atoll is under separate administration, it should not be included n the state's template. If this were a geographic template for the Hawaiian Islands, we'd want to include. I'm deleting. Goeverywhere 02:44, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
