[edit] Um... WTF?
Hawthorne High is in Passaic County, not Bergen... Marikun 04:23, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Please leave the Hawthorne High School page alone. People are called "notable alumni" for far less than what we are doing as "notable current students". Just because someone appeared on 2 episodes of a 1990's television show does not qualify them to be a notable alumni. We are on a mission as a team to win the NJ Challenge. We have the full support of not only our schoolmates, but also our Board of Education and our town.
Since you do not live in Hawthorne, or have never lived in Hawthorne, please leave our town's page alone and our High School's page alone...we are not writing anything that is not true. We are notable...ask anyone in our school who we are...for that matter, ask anyone under the age of 60 who we are...We are some of the best and brightest in Hawthorne High School.
Let us do as we please...We are not hurting anyone. This information is of 100% truth. How about you just stick to editing your other 400 pages per week and leave ours alone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GDiLonardo (talk • contribs) 21:23, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- Appearing on a cable TV game show is an accomplishment, but I'm not sure it meets the WP:BIO standard. Nor are there any of teh reliable and verifiable newspaper sources required by WP:V. On the other hand, if you win and get some coverage in the papers, I will reconsider. 400 pages is a slow week. Alansohn 06:41, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
In addition to all of the requirements and whatnot that whoever may require, there is media coverage. The fact that the program is sponsored by News 12 NJ and will be airing on their television station is quite the feat, considering it may be more of a success than your Teaneck Council election. There has been mention of our winnings in previous quiz bowls from numerous articles in the Hawthorne Press (our form of media regardless of what you think). There was an article in the last Hawthorne Press specifically for our win, and not only that but the November 15, 2007 version of the Hawthorne Press has mention of the team and our win by our principal Dr. David Browne. "When we get a winning team, it brings a positive focus on the school system," he said, also citing the HHS team that recently won the Challenge Quiz Bowl." This front page article about the success of the football team in recent times cites our victory. The powertolearn website features biographies of each member of the team. If you for some reason think that there is no justification for this to be on the website, consider contacting our administration with your concern. THanks so much for doing things that you are no way involved with. The internet is a wonderful thing, you, however, are not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JSKWOOD (talk • contribs) 03:54, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
