[edit] The Bands Genre Right Now

As of now the bands genre is Pop Punk, Christian Punk, Alternative Rock. Does that sound pretty good. Or should it be changed?Rockismorethanmusic (talk) 02:09, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Members names

Can anyone find the members' full names? 'Cause I can't. Or maybe Hawk Nelson's trying to pull a Demon Hunter on us? Boarder8925 02:00, 19 Sep 2004 (UTC)

i think it needs some pics... =)

Yeah, so we can show people Jason's hot face

full names according to my Winter Jam 2007 booklet: Jason Dunn, Daniel Biro, Jonathin Steingard, Aaron Tosti. and PLEASE start signing your posts, people. I do Not think it needs pics, and i do NOT think Jason is hot Dizzyizzy 20:43, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

If you want pictures of them then go to there interm website and there are some photos there. Zachattack92 18:30, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, we do need pics. At least one of the whole band. But it can't be copyrighted, so I don't know where we can get one. And Jason doesn't have a link of his own as some of the other members do. He needs one.~Chrissy

[edit] Genre

The Article says the band is Pop punk, but anyone who has ever listened to them would know that they are Alternative. What should we do about this? §†SupaSoldier†§ 18:43, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

If I'm not mistaken, they are Christian rock, not alt rock or pop-punk.76.6.64.170 09:23, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

I Have "Smile, It's The End Of The World" and it says that the genre is "Alternative & Punk" Zachattack92 18:27, 15 March 2007 (UTC) The Is Very populer in the Seculer Rock also by Being on Mtv and Vh1. And there Cd Smile it the end of the world it is Punk Rock/pop Punk/ Alternative Rock/,i would call them punk rock because of there song " is forever enoghth" and " Nothing left to show" Skateremorocker

Well those songs have fiery punk/hardcore elements but they are mellow like is forever enough is much more melodic in areas agressive in another. The intro sounds like the movielife which were punk rock, do you agree?

ya i would agree about that there song "Is Forever enough" is a Melodic Punk rock song. And there song "Nothing Left to Show" is a punk/Hardcore song. and the "the one thing i have left" is a punk song. So i would say there more Punk and Alternative rock.User:Skateremorocker

Well "The show", "Bring 'Em out", "Hello" and "It's over" and debut album songs like "California" and "Every little thing" are all pop punk songs. "Right here" is pop punk/alternative rock, while "From underneath", "14", "Zero" and "Take me are all alternative rock" many songs like "Things we go through", "Something on my mind", "The one thing I have left", "Right here", "Is forever enough" and "Take me" have christian meanings, so I think that Pop punk, punk rock, alternative rock and christian rock are all valid genres for this group. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.38.65.47 (talk) 19:26, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

They are totaly what the artical says the are wich currently is pop punk alt rock something else and Christian rock. Just listen to their Christmas CD well one of them they say Hallelugha X3 praise the lord and that Finishes the debate! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.29.155.66 (talk) 04:06, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] members names/genre

the names are Lead singer: Jason Dunn, Bass: Daniel Biro, Guitar: Jonathon Steingard, Drummer: Aaron Tosti. The genre is pop/punk/rock. And yes, they are a christian band. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dramaticlee (talk • contribs) 20:16, 19 March 2007 (UTC).

Daniel and Aaron don't have thier own pages. =[ ~Chrissyy

I can't belive you actualy debate about the band's Christianity It is so obvious! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.29.155.66 (talk) 23:21, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] LOOK

That´s not true! Jason Dunn was born in 1982, so he´s 24 now!

[edit] Non professional

The discography and music videos sections look very non-professional. Could someone clean them up, maybe add some pictures and links?

[edit] Image

There are some free images of the band at the official Smile, It's The End of the World ECard. They are free downloads available for free use. I think we should use one, but the last one I put up was deleted as being 'non-free'.

Jcpizzadude 18:44, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

I believe your image was deleted because it is a copywritten image that is available for free to the public, but is not available under fair-use agreements. Promotional pictures usually seem to be not free enough for Wikipedia, and something taken by a Wikipedia member is the only way to keep a picture of a band. I will look myself and see if I can find such a picture. Schneau 03:34, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Major rewrite

I am interested in doing a major rewrite to the Hawk Nelson page, including more sections, incorporating trivia into article, and more citations of sources. I will also look for a fair use picture to use for the page. Let me know if you are interested in helping with the rewrite. Schneau 03:37, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

While I am unable to help with such a rewrite, I agree that it probably needs to occur. This article, as a whole, comes across as rather juvenile and un-encyclopedic. I did a little bit of clean-up in the "band members" section today, but there's definitely more work still to be done! 69.236.64.186 (talk) 08:25, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] End Christian debate

I am trying to end the debate on if they are Christian or not by pointing out the song Every little thing is only one of the songs they have to prove they are Christian like in their Christmas EP gloria.

They are definitely Christian. They are on two Christian labels Tooth and Nail Records and BEC Recordings, plus they have Christian lyrics and are popular in the Christian the industry. Jcpizzadude (talk) 15:36, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gloria EP

Supposedly (according to us?) there's going to be some kind of release of the Gloria EP in 2008? Where did we get this information? And if this is true will a just be a rerelease or will it have additional songs or possibly be a full-length album? As for the moment, until we have a citation, I am removing the EP from the discography. Jcpizzadude (talk) 16:41, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Well in December 2007 on Air1 (the radio station) They played a few songs from that album and just for the debate that pointed out their Christian faith.

[edit] Image

I just added a image thing because if your reading this then you know that this band deserves a image so please add one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.119.70.65 (talk) 15:40, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Discography

Does anyone else feel that the discography should be in a table, as opposed to shoved onto a category page that has absolutely no information on it? I personally think that it should be in a table because it's much more organized and allows more information to be presented. Happyface162 (talk) 03:51, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Agreed. The 'list of album' pages are rarely used for regular users/pages.Jcpizzadude (talk) 17:29, 12 February 2008 (UTC) Just so you know I added the catagory thing but I would like a better artical. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.29.137.164 (talk) 02:10, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Other artical

I don't know much about wikipedia. Is it normal for their to be two articals? Here's the other —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.29.137.164 (talk) 02:17, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

The second article I created to work on a draft of this article. It is in the User namespace, which means it isn't meant to be an encyclopedic article. Schneau (talk) 11:31, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Well that's cool. Its sorta like a backup artical sotra right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.29.146.211 (talk) 17:05, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Trevor

In this article, it states that trevor still plays a part in making their album. What backup vocals and instruments does he play? what songs? is he the one who yells at the end of "turn it on" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thrice34 (talkcontribs) 09:40, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] requested images

While looking for bird pics on Flickr with free licences I came across several free to use images of this band. [1]. I haven't the time to download them all, but they are there if you want them. Sabine's Sunbird talk 02:32, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
