Hawthorne High School is a four year comprehensive public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grade from Hawthorne, in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States, as part of the Hawthorne Public Schools.
As of the 2005-06 school year, the school had an enrollment of 703 students and 50.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 13.9.[1]

The Hawthorne High School Bears compete in the 13-member Bergen-Passaic Scholastic League (BPSL), made up of private and public high schools located in Bergen County and Passaic County.

- Lois A. Cuccinello, who has served on the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders since 1997. In January of 1999 she was selected to serve as Freeholder Director, making Freeholder Cuccinello the first woman to hold that position in four decades.[3]
- Debbie Harry, lead singer of Blondie, Class of 1963.[4][5]
- Ivan Sergei, actor best known for his work in television, Class of 1989.[5]
