[edit] My thoughts on Wikipedia

  • This is not a real encyclopedia.
  • Wiki has some really good people looking after it all the same. I don't know why anyone bothers to edit here. Hell, I can't even figure out why I bother to edit here.
  • Wikipedia is supposed to be an encyclopedia and not a book (however reliable). The language has to have zero shock value, the content presented in a neutral manner (unlike a book, in which an author can take sides) and the information best not represent shady literature.
  • I also hold a Wikimedia Commons account. If I really need an image then I can upload it from there but I keep wondering why I care.
