January, 2008 image of the Northwest Kidney Centers James Haviland Kidney Center at 700 Broadway in Seattle WA. This the largest and most venerable NKC unit houses over 50 dialysis stations (as of 12/07) - including the Special Care Unit™ a bedded, high staff ratio unit; the home hemodialysis training unit which supports over 70 people hemodialyzing at home ; the peritoneal dialysis training unit which supports over 110 people at home on peritoneal dialysis; and the Progressive Care unit with 18 stations. The Haviland Kidney center also houses NKC's Human Resources Department, with offices supporting Research, nutrition services, social work services, etc.
