Havergal College (shortform Havergal or HC) is a leading independent boarding and day school for girls in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the intersection of Lawrence Avenue and Avenue Road (43.7201° N 79.4143° W). It is located down the street from Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute.

Havergal was founded in 1894 as a low church alternative to Bishop Strachan School, by a group of men led by The Honourable H. Blake, and is named after the hymn composer, author and humanitarian Frances Ridley Havergal. Havergal College is known for its excellence in education and tradition, and has many prominent alumni.

Dr. Susan Ditchburn is Principal. The school currently upholds the motto: “Preparing young women to make a difference in her chosen pursuit by enabling each girl to develop her full intellectual, creative, spiritual and physical potential.” Recently a new advertising campaign was introduced, with the slogan "It's a (Wo)man's world."

The Athletic Centre was opened on September 30, 2006. The new facilities include a fully equipped fitness center, 25 m six lane swimming pool, a second gymnasium, several health classrooms and additional changing rooms. Students have been waiting for the Athletic Centre's opening since the idea was first put forth in 2001.

At Havergal College, the school colours are green and gold and the mascot is the Havergator. The student motto for the 2007-2008 academic year is "'07-'08 Why hesitate?!"

The school goes from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 and has two buildings; the Junior School and the Upper School. Students that attend the school from kindergarten to grade twelve graduation are known as "survivors". The formal uniform consists of a white blouse with a green and yellow tie, the forest green kilt and knee socks, the forest green blazer, and black oxfords. For grades below grade 5 students wear a forest green tunic instead of the kilt.

The Havergal College hockey team plays an annual game versus BSS (Bishop Strachan School)each year in Varsity arena. In the current season of 2007-08, however, the arena was double-booked, so instead the symbolic event was held at the North Toronto Arena. This year BSS celebrated an extremely close 1-0 win against Havergal. The captains for the 2007-08 season are Lisa Flanagan, Kathleen Boyd, Niamh Barry and Allie Wise.

Havergal College recently held student leadership elections. Julia Cottrelle was elected School Captain for the 2008-2009 academic year.
