[edit] Assistance requested
An edit for sourcing a statement was requested, and I would like to find such a reference. I grew up in this neighborhood. It was something the neighbors talked about the extraordinarily wide avenues...Albert, Landsdowne, Dufferin...and the reason given was the planning in case of another world war outbreak, and for military vehicles. I don't think that an army barracks was ever in this neighborhood or anything of that sort, but when Haultain first came to be it was on the outskirts of the city of that time, and they had no water for a long time after construction began - baths were available when water was delivered to the school. How do I quote 'general knowledge' of the neighborhood from being a resident there for a number of years? I couldn't find anything online about city planning after WWII...and wider roads, and the grid layout...
