[edit] Singular or plural agreement

I have changed the opening "The Hauberg Mountains is a group of mountains" to "The Hauberg Mountains are a group of mountains", to reflect the plural mountains rather than the collective word "group".

To my ear, "group" sounds like several distinct mountains that just happen to be located in the same area, much like the Glasshouse Mountains in Queensland. If the collective word had been "range", implying a singlke entitity, then "The Hauberg Mountains is a range of mountains" would sound better. Perhaps someone more familiar with the precise geography could decide whether "group" or "range" is more appropriate.
